Hamas delegation, led by Dr. Khalil Al-Hayya, head of the Hamas movement in the Gaza Strip, has arrived in Egypt to begin negotiations on the mechanisms for a ceasefire, the withdrawal of occupation forces, and a prisoner exchange.
This was announced in a brief statement by the Hamas movement.
Egypt is set to host delegations from Israel and the Hamas movement later today, Monday, to discuss establishing field conditions and the details of an exchange of all Israeli detainees and Palestinian prisoners according to the proposal put forth by U.S. President Donald Trump.
This comes in the hope of ending the war and stopping the suffering of the brotherly Palestinian people, which has lasted for two continuous years.
This is part of the continuous Egyptian efforts, in coordination with mediators, aimed at ending the Israeli war in the Gaza Strip.
The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed in a statement that these consultations come within the framework of efforts to build on the regional and international momentum achieved following the unveiling of U.S. President Donald Trump's plan to stop the war in the Gaza Strip.
