Hamas delegation arrived in Cairo, on Wednesday, to hold discussions on a ceasefire agreement, according to Reuters News agency.
The delegation, led by Khalil Al-Hayya, is set to engage in talks with Egyptian officials to follow up on the implementation of the Gaza agreement.
Hamas has expressed its appreciation for Egypt and Jordan's stance against the displacement of the Palestinian people, emphasizing that there is an Arab plan for Gaza’s reconstruction without forced displacement.
The movement considers Jordan’s position a continuation of its longstanding rejection of displacement, resettlement, and the so-called "alternative homeland" projects, which aim to erase Palestinian identity and undermine their just cause.
Hamas also praised Arab nations and countries worldwide that have voiced their rejection of any plans to forcibly displace the Palestinian people or strip them of their national rights.
Moreover, the movement reaffirmed that the Palestinian people will remain steadfast on their land and will not accept any solutions that compromise their legitimate rights to freedom and independence.
