The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) said yesterday, Monday, that it had agreed with Qatar and Egypt to extend the truce with Israel for two additional days, under the same conditions as the previous ceasefire, which lasted for four days.

A Hamas official said in a telephone call with the Reuters news agency that it was agreed with the brothers in Qatar and Egypt to extend the temporary humanitarian truce for another two days, under the same conditions as the previous truce.

For his part, Hamas leader Osama Hamdan said in a statement that the movement is preparing a “new list” of hostages it is holding “to extend the truce.”

The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the extension of the truce in the Gaza Strip for an additional two days.
