The famous American singer and songwriter Halsey announced the release of her first ever poetry collection “I Would Leave Me If I Could” yesterday, November 10th on her official Instagram account @iamhalsey.

Halsey posted a few pictures of herself, her writing space, and her poetry collection with the caption ‘Today is the da. Years in the making. My first collection of poetry “I Would Leave Me If I Could” is out. It’s things I ruminate on, fixate, miss, cry, regret, re-live and overcome. I love being a weird popstar. But I’ll always be a writer first and foremost. Thank you and thank you to @ryanfischerharbage and @sgfrerich @mariaamargarita @anthonytomasli for believing in the words!’.

It is noteworthy that the “I Would Leave Me If I Could” poetry collection discuses openly the singer’s past struggles and traumas from sexual and domestic abuse to heartbreak and family issues.
