Hala Zayed Confirms Egypt Plan for Handball World Cup

Today, Dr Hala Zayed, Health Minister confirmed the ministry's plan during the World Handball World Cup Egypt 2021.

Zayed stated that the plan mainly depends on four axes: evaluating risks, raising awareness, applying precautionary measures, and dealing with suspected cases, to confront the outbreak of Coronavirus.

Zayed added that during a meeting with Dr Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Sports and Youth to discuss the country's preparations for the World Cup, that it will provide all special needs such as medicines, sterilization tools and medical masks, adding that the Ministry of Health is harnessing all of its capabilities to help in the success of the tournament.

The minister explained that she follows up all the requirements of the organizing committee of the tournament and works to provide them urgently.

On his part, Dr Hassan Mustafa, President of the International Handball Federation, praised Egypt's distinguished efforts to organize the tournament, noting that this is the most important tournament in the field of handball in the world and that he is confident about Egypt's ability to organize it optimally.

It is scheduled that the World Hand Championship will start from January 13th to 31st in Egypt.
