Egyptian actress, Hala Shiha will begin today, Monday shooting the scenes of her new film “Mesh Ana” (This is not me).
Shiha plays the leading role in the film alongside singer-actor Tamer Hosny.
The film also stars also renowned actress, Sawsan Badr, Maged El Kedwany, and others.
It will be written by Honsy and directed by Sarah Wafik, and produced by production companies Synergy production and HS production.
This film witnesses her return to the big screen after 13 years of absence, as her last appearance was in 2006 film "Kamel El Awsaf" (Mr. Perfect).

Moreover, Shiha has also joined the cast of “Hepta: the last lecture” sequel, which will be directed by prominent director Hady El Bagory.
Hepta: the last lecture first part had achieved a great success at the time of its debut in 2016.
The film’s production company is set to sign with the rest of the cast as they desire to premiere the movie during Eid al-Adha holidays in 2020.
Hepta: The Last Lecture is based on Mohamed Sadek’s best-selling book.
The sequel is written by Sadek, and directed by El Bagory, the director of the movie’s first part.
Hepta: the last lecture revolved around the seven stages of love through four stories.
Sadek’s novel topped the charts in Egypt and the Arab world for several weeks.
The movie’s revenues topped the Egyptian box office, which exceeded EGP 52 million, becoming the highest-grossing romance movie in the history of Egyptian cinema.
Hepta: the last lecture won more than 20 awards, including 10 awards.
Shiha’s latest artistic work is TV series “Zelzal” (Earthquake).
The TV series co-starring Mohamed Ramadan, Maged El Masry, Hala Shiha, Mona Abd El Ghani, Nesreen Amin, Hanadi Muhanna, and others.
Zelzal is written by Abdel Rahim Kamal and directed by Ibrahim Fakhr.
‘Comeback’
In 2018, Hala had surprised everyone by taking off niqab, and coming out of her retirement and resuming her acting again after 12 years of retirement, which was followed by taking off her veil.
Later on, she disappeared completely and flew to Canada to be with her Canadian husband, Joseph Hirsen, and children.
She confirmed that her decision to return to acting again was very difficult, and came after deep reflection and careful consideration, and in the end, she found that it felt great psychological comfort with her decision.
The actress announced in April that she has split from Hirsen after more than 10 years of marriage.
The marriage resulted in four kids, two boys, and two girls.
Shiha was born on February 23, 1979, in Cairo, Egypt, to an internationally acclaimed painter Ahmed Shiha, and a Lebanese mother who is also an artist.
She is best known for playing the leading roles in “The Ladder and The Snake”, and “Lost in America”.
