Egyptian actress Hala Shiha and Islamic preacher Moez Masoud are getting married Monday evening at a hotel in Cairo, after a love story and engagement that lasted for several months.
In a press statement on Sunday, actress Hana, the sister of the bride, confirmed that her sister will marry the preacher after the end of the Iddah period (waiting off period).
Hala and her soon-to-be husband will sign the 'aqd qiran' — an Islamic marriage contract is considered an integral part of an Islamic marriage, and outlines the rights and responsibilities of the groom and bride or other parties involved in marriage proceedings under Shariah — in a ceremony limited to their families and relatives.
They were set to get married in the past two days, but the wedding was postponed after the mother of the bride caught a severe cold.
In December 2020, the duo confirmed their romance after speculations.
