Hala Shiha, Moez Masoud Get Married (Photos)

Egyptian actress Hala Shiha and Islamic preacher Moez Masoud got Monday evening at a hotel in Cairo, after a love story and engagement that lasted for several months.

In December 2020, the duo confirmed their romance after speculations.

Shiha and Masoud signed the ‘aqd qiran’ — an Islamic marriage contract is considered an integral part of an Islamic marriage and outlines the rights and responsibilities of the groom and bride or other parties involved in marriage proceedings under Shariah — in a ceremony limited to their families and relatives.

The preacher shared on Instagram several photos from the ceremony and captioned: "Keep smiling and shining my love 😍".

Shiha also sent a special message to her husband on the platform, saying: "Having a special man like no other ❤️️".

The actress appeared during the ceremony wearing the hijab after she removed it last year following her separation from her former husband and resuming her acting career after 12 years of retirement.

The photo had raised speculations about Shiha's return to the hijab after her marriage to the preacher, but a close source told "Cairo 24" that she wore the headpiece for the ceremony only.

The source added that Masoud advised the actress, before marriage, that she should wear decent clothes and not draw attention to her, whether in her artistic work or the events that she attends.
