Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan National Army (LNA), Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, and US ambassador to Libya Richard Norland held talks in Cairo, according to Sky News website.
At the outset of the meeting, Norland stressed that the US continues to focus on supporting the necessary compromises to establish the constitutional basis and legal framework required in order to hold elections on December 24.
Earlier, Haftar said that his country's army supports all efforts made to achieve the success of the upcoming presidential and parliamentary elections.
