Hackers hacked Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's Facebook account and published Islamic supplications in Arabic.
According to the "Ynet" website, this move necessitated the Shin Bet's intervention to promptly open an investigation in conjunction with the investigation conducted by "Facebook".
According to the official announcement, Muslim hackers hacked Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's personal Facebook account and released a video in which excerpts of supplications are heard in Arabic.
The video, in which a picture of a mosque appears and the muezzin's voice is heard, was uploaded through a feature in which the "Facebook" page cooperates with another page, but the hackers never took control of Netanyahu's page.
The last days witnessed a feverish race of attempts to penetrate Israeli sites, most notably the Mossad website, the post office, and the port of Haifa, in addition to targeting the websites of universities and colleges, the last of which was the website of the "Atid" academic college, where they published personal information for thousands of Israelis.
A file containing 200,000 records including names, identity cards, and addresses was also published, as well as hundreds of photos of identity cards and other personal documents.
The "Atid" group said: "Elements from hostile countries attempted to carry out strategic attacks on educational institutions in Israel ... We repelled the attempt and as far as we know, little information has been leaked ... We are in constant contact with the Israeli cyber system and will act on this basis."
