The Israeli Police Commissioner secretly warned that the decision of the Israeli Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben Gvir, to distribute weapons collectively among hundreds of Israeli settlers after the launch of Operation “Al-Aqsa Flood” may lead to them falling into “the wrong hands.”
The police official said: “In the midst of all the panic, they distributed weapons to anyone, and it will not be easy to collect them after the war,” according to the Israeli newspaper “Haaretz.”
They added: "We may end up paying a heavy price: injuries, weapons, theft and unsupervised use of weapons."
Last month, the Israeli Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben Gvir, announced that he had issued a directive to the Firearms Licensing Department to carry out an emergency operation, allowing the largest possible number of his citizens to arm themselves, after the “Al-Aqsa Flood” operation launched by the Palestinian “Hamas” movement.
