On Monday, Greek Prime Minister (PM) Kyriakos Mitsotakis stressed on Greece's firm position in supporting Ukraine's right to defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
In a phone call with Ukrainian President, Mitsotakis indicated that Greece will continue to stand by Ukraine as long as necessary.
It is worth mentioing that, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced, on February 24, the launch of a military operation against targets in Ukraine with the aim of protecting the population of the Donbass region, which prompted many Western countries and the United States (US) to impose huge economic sanctions against Russia.
