The Christmas fasting for the Syriac began on December 15 and for 10 days, unlike the Greek Orthodox who had 40 days of fasting before Christmas from November 15 until December 24, and will celebrate December 25.
In the same context, Pope Tawadros II, the head of the Coptic Orthodox Church, will lead the New Year Eve's Mass St.Mark Coptic Orthodox Cathedral, in Alexandria.
The mass will see the participation of several saints, priests, and church members.
They will give several speeches and morales during the prayers.
