Greek Foreign Minister (FM) Nikos Dendias to Turkey to express Athens' support for its neighbor, which was hit by a violent earthquake last week.
In a statment, the Greek Foreign ministry said that this visit is the first of its kind by a European minister to Turkey since the disaster that occurred last Monday, which claimed the lives of more than 28,000 people in Turkey and Syria.
The latest official reports stated that the earthquake, which measured 7.8 on the Richter scale, had killed at least 28,191 people, 24,617 of which in Turkey and 3,574 in Syria.
