Greek Defense Minister Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos said on Wednesday that Athens will not send modern "Leopard 2" tanks and Russian-made "S-300" anti-aircraft missile systems to Ukraine.
Moreover, Panagiotopoulos confirmed that Ukrainian Defense Minister Alexei Reznikov will arrive in Athens on Thursday.
On Monday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting with German Vice Chancellor, Robert Habeck, who is currently visitng Kyiv.
During the meeting, Zelensky expressed his gratitude for Germany's active support and solidarity with Ukraine, since the early days of the Russian war.
"Your visit sends a strong message to our citizens, our army and all of us," Zelensky said.
Moreover, Ukrainian President thanked Germany for providing Ukraine with the necessary defensive weapons, including the Leopard and main battle tanks, as well as for its contribution to protecting Ukrainian skies.
Furthermore, Zelensky welcomed the German companies' readiness to participate in the reconstruction of Ukraine.
