Greece will host the filming of a new Hollywood series about Alexander the Great. The work will be produced by the same group that produced the celebrated series "Vikings" alongside Starlings Entertainment according to The Greek Reporter website report on Friday.
The script is written by Michael Hurst, who scripted “Vikings” and” The Tudors.”
Greece’s Antenna Group will participate in the work as co-producer.
Moreover, The Greek firms G5 and ZDF Enterprises will also be involved in the shooting of the historical series.
The new series on the life of one of the greatest and most controversial figures in history is not the first one that depicted the life of the warrior. There were various famous works like "Alexander" film directed by Oliver Stone and starring Collin Farrell, Angelina Jolie, Rosario Dawson, and Jared Leto.
It was filmed in several places including Malta, UK, Morocco, and Thailand.
