I congratulate the new colleagues, members and heads of media councils and bodies, who were appointed through a presidential decree from President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, and I wish them success in continuing the path of our former colleagues and being the best successor to the best predecessor.

My heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Khaled Abdel Aziz, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Media Regulation, who gained confidence from all people and has proven success in his work as Minister of Youth and Sports and as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the National Alliance for Civil and Development Work. The problems of the media are great and it is a great responsibility. I hope that God will help him in this mission.

I feel optimistic over my confidence in the capabilities of my colleagues, their professionalism, and my direct knowledge of the extent of their competence, and I am pleased at renewing confidence in Engineer Abdel Sadiq El-Shorbagy, Chairman of the National Press Authority, who led the Egyptian national press in a very delicate transitional period that placed it on the threshold of the new era of information technology and electronic publishing with all its challenges, along with the new colleagues, with all their enthusiasm, vitality, and journalistic experience, Amr Al-Khayyat, Hamdi Rizk, and Alaa Thabet.

With the same optimism and confidence, I congratulate my colleague Ahmed Al-Muslimani, the great journalist and writer, Chairman of the National Media Authority.

I extend my thanks to those colleagues and professors who performed their duty perfectly, great journalist Karam Gabr, my colleague Saleh Al-Salhi, and my friend Azza Mustafa... I wish them success.

I hope that the new colleagues will succeed in confronting the grave challenges facing these councils and facing the media industry in light of the regional and international competition, we need a strong, competitive media and professional cooperation that maintains the leadership of the Egyptian media ad maximize its economics whether by exploiting the capabilities, competencies, and available resources, or by presenting new ideas outside the box, so that our media and journalism are up to the challenges surrounding the nation, its security, and its stability.
