Grand Imam Congratulates Christians around World on Xmas

On Thursday, Al Azhar Grand Imam Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb congratulated Christians all over the world on Christmas.

“My sincere congratulations to my friends; Pope Francis, Pope Tawadros, Archbishop Justin Welby, Patriarch Bartholomew I as well as to all Christians around the world on the occasion of Christmas,” Al-Tayeb wrote on Twitter.

“I pray that the Almighty continues to bless us with peace, love and fraternity, while sparing the world from hatred and war,” the Grand Imam added in another tweet.

Many districts in Egypt celebrated Christmas in a colorful way. The pomp and glamor of the time were witnessed across Heliopolis as every corner celebrated the festivity at its best.

While driving and strolling around the El-Korba historic region, one will notice a variety of Christmas glamorous lights decorating the street’s median, cafes as well as ancient buildings.
