Sam Mostyn, Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, visited the Grand Egyptian Museum and the Giza Pyramids accompanied by Dr. Manal Awad, Minister of Local Development, and her accompanying delegation.
They were received by Dr. Mohamed Ismail Khaled, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities who talked to them about the history of the Giza Pyramids area and its unique archaeological sites.
The Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities also reviewed the final preparations for the Grand Egyptian museum's opening, scheduled for July 3.
