Egypt's Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli affirmed the government's keenness to continue developing and renovating the southern part of the Historic Cairo site in accordance with the state’s plan to overhaul historical and archeological places.
The premier said that the government is keen on carrying out the development process while taking into account maintaining all historic, heritage, demographic, and tourist aspects.
Madbouli made his remarks during a meeting held on Wednesday in Cairo to follow up on the progress made so far in the Historic Cairo renovation projects, which was attended by Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and a slew of respective planning officials and engineering professors.
In turn, the Minister of Higher Education reviewed proposed plans and policies of development aimed at optimizing the usage of this archeological region to promote tourism.
