Google Meet has offered a number of effects to customize your video feed, announcing the addition of 360-degree backgrounds during the coming period.

Google highlighted that the backgrounds are videos that move independently of the 360-degree motion. Users can pick from an oasis, sky city, or mountain temple, with more tools coming.

Google Meet will launch these 360-degree backgrounds in the “coming weeks” on Android and iOS for both consumers and paid Workspace users.

This step will be included among the existing set of standard wallpapers, blur effects, video/moving backgrounds, styles (B&W, sepia, etc.), and face filters, as well as the ability to upload your own.

In July 2021, Google Meet allowed users to live stream their meetings to YouTube, enabling admins to choose whether they would like to enable live streaming, as well as streaming permissions for meeting participants.

The Google Workspace team said: “Live streaming is useful in situations where you want to present information to large audiences outside of your organization, giving them the opportunity to pause and replay as needed or view the presentation at a later time.”

The feature will be available to Google Workspace Inpidual users, Google One Premium plan members in selected regions, Google Workspace Enterprise Starter, Standard and Plus packages, and Education Plus, Teaching, and Learning Upgrade customers.
