Abdel Dayem: The Golden voice Competition aims to create a new generation capable of regaining the glories of Arab music.
Dr. Enas Abdel Dayem, the Minister of Culture, is following up the semi-final stage of the fifth edition of the Golden Voice competition.
The competition was founded by the singer Mohsen Farouk and organized by the Cultural Development Fund, which is headed by Dr. Fathi Abdel Wahab.
The competition was held in the cinema hall in Al- Al Hanager Center for Arts- according to the precautionary measures against Corona virus.
Abdel Dayem said that the Golden Voice competition aims to discover the singing talents in all parts of the country and investing the energies of youth to create a new generation of artists who are able to regain the glories of Arabic music to complete the movement of this art.
Furthermore, Abdel Dayem praised the contestants who emphasized Egypt’s richness in artistic scene, stressing that the competition included the participation of a group of promising people from different governorates, which reflects the continuous effort to achieve cultural justice as one of the pillars of sustainable development.
On his part, Dr. Abdel-Wahab said that the jury of the fifth edition of the Golden Voice Competition is headed by Dr. Mustafa Mohamed, head of the singing department at the Conservatory and the supervisor of the Arab singing house.
It also include a group of members who are well versed in this field. They are: Dr. Iman Mustafa, professor of singing department in the Conservatory and the artistic director of Cairo Opera Band, Dr. Medhat Abdel Samy- Professor at the Arab Music Institute and singer Dr. Ahmed Ibrahim.
In addition, Dr. Mustafa Mohamed said that this edition was held with the participation of :- 122 contestants from 11 governorates- Cairo, Giza, North Sinai, Assiut, Minya, Luxor, Menoufia, Damietta, Gharbia, Beheira, Qaliubiya, indicating that the first stage of this completion was held late February and the second stage was held online.
