Dr. Dalia Fouad, Head of the Central Administration for Art Centers, inaugurated the 5th edition of the Jewelry Art Festival in Egypt. Held at the Al Jazeera Center for Arts in Zamalek, the festival showcases an array of innovative designs by over 80 Egyptian exhibitors and designers, focusing on accessories and jewelry.

Running until January 17th, the festival offers a platform for a wide array of designers, from up-and-coming talents to established professionals. Amro Khattab, a notable participant and Design Director at Arm Jewelers, is displaying five pieces. These include an artistic rendition of glasses made from gold-plated copper and a unique collar crafted from old ten-millimeter currency notes, highlighting the sophisticated metalworking techniques employed.

Khattab emphasized the festival's role as Egypt's premier platform for jewelry art, attracting a large number of artists and students. Basant Nashaat, a first-time participant, expressed the importance of the festival as a motivational force for designers and advocated for its annual occurrence, noting the irregularity of its scheduling since its inception in 2004.

Nashaat also suggested that greater involvement and sponsorship by jewelry companies could amplify the festival's impact and establish it as a major event in the Middle East's jewelry scene.

During this edition, young designers Nouran Mohamed El Ghabashy, Sara Nasr El Din Mohamed, and Nada Osama El Sayed received the Excellence Award for designers under 30 years old.
