Gold prices declined, domestically, by 2% last week, while the ounce rose by 1.3% internationally.
The Executive Director of Isagha platform Saied Embabi said that gold prices declined by EGP 45 in local markets last week.
The gram of 21-karat opened the weekly transaction at EGP 2265, and closed at EGP 2220.
The ounce was a $ 25-rise as it opened the weekly transaction at $1915, and closed at $1940.
Embabi added that the gram of 24-karat recorded EGP 2537, 18-karat hit EGP 1903, and 14-karat reached EGP 1480.
The gold pound was estimated at EGP 17760.
The official highlighted the demand for gold in local markets, therefore, the prices fell domestically.
He also expected that the markets would see more stability in the near future, especially with the various interests of costumers.
