Egyptian Delegation to Participate in Global Youth Festival in Russia

The Russian Ambassador to Egypt, Georgy Borisenko, welcomed members of the Egyptian committee participating in the 20th edition of the Global Youth Festival in Russia.

Borisenko expressed Russia's enthusiasm for the inclusion of Egyptian youth in this significant international event, which hosts participants from 187 countries, providing a platform for Egyptian delegates to engage with and learn from diverse cultures.

Borisenko conveyed his confidence in the Egyptian youth's ability to present a positive image of Egypt and acknowledged the Egyptian state's support for their participation in the Sochi festival.

The Egyptian committee comprised Ahmed Barani, a graduate of the Presidential Program and the committee's head; Abdullah Al-Batsh, Assistant Minister of Youth and Sports, serving as the recorder; Sherif Gad, President of the Egyptian Association of Graduates of Russian and Soviet Universities, acting as the general secretary and official spokesperson; and Nagy El-Shahabi, head of the Generation Party and committee member.

The meeting was also attended by Asiya Turchieva, the Cultural Advisor to the Russian Embassy in Cairo.

Al-Batsh highlighted the Ministry of Youth and Sports' efforts in supporting Egyptian participation, in line with the directives of the Egyptian state and the Minister of Youth and Sports, Ashraf Sobhy.

Barani outlined the committee's efforts from its inception to the selection of the delegation.

El-Shahabi discussed the history of Egyptian participation in the Global Youth Festival in Russia, emphasizing the youth's eagerness to partake over the decades within the framework of distinguished Egyptian-Russian relations.

Gad extended gratitude to Russia for organizing a substantial festival under challenging circumstances, noting that the participation of 187 countries reflects Russia's international stature and the solidarity of its allies.

In conclusion, Ambassador Georgy Borisenko wished the Egyptian youth success, looking forward to their impressions upon their return.
