Global Covid-19 Cases Exceed 75 Mln

The total number of global Covid-19 cases surpassed 75 million with over 1.6 million deaths and more than 42 million recoveries, according to Johns Hopkins University report issued on Saturday.

Meanwhile, the Chinese mainland on Friday recorded 17 new COVID-19 cases, including three locally transmitted cases and 14 ones from overseas. Also, COVID-19 cases in the U.S. topped 17 million, with the death toll surpassed 310,000. U.S.

Moreover, India's coronavirus cases topped 10 million as the number reached 10,004,599 on Saturday, the country's official data showed. Russia ranks fourth with 49,151 deaths and 2,762,668 infections, followed by France with 59,619 deaths and 2,427,316 cases.

On other hand, Coronavirus affected officials and leaders, the latest of whom is French President Emmanuel Macron, as the Élysée announced, last week, his infection.
