The Egyptian General Intelligence Service (GIS) organized a two-day global forum to help counter-terrorism.
High-level delegations and representatives of intelligence authorities from 44 countries participated in the forum.
The conference focused on strengthening partnerships and cooperation in countering terrorism and radicalism. It also discussed ways to develop a digital fighting strategy against terrorists especially through social networking sites besides monitoring the channels of financing the activities of these groups.
The forum issued several recommendations calling for increasing the level of international coordination against terrorist activities, avoiding the association of terrorism to any religious faith.
