Head of the Egyptian General Intelligence Service (GIS) Abbas Kamel paid an official visit to Ramallah and Tel Aviv on Wednesday.
This visit, which comes upon President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's directives, aims to advance Egyptian efforts within the framework of the Palestinian-Israeli peace process.
While in Ramallah, Kamel met with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and conveyed a message of support from President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi to Abbas.
In the message, El-Sisi reaffirmed Egypt's full support for the Palestinian cause, and its efforts to achieve calm and stability in all Palestinian areas and the entire region.
