Today, Saturday, various films will be screened during the 42nd CIFF, Cairo International Film Festival’s competitions. Get to know more about the most significant film screenings.
The Moroccan “The Morphine’s Melody” will be screened at the Cairo Opera House Small Theater at 12:30 pm.
Directed by Hicham Amal, the films is one of Horizons of Arab Cinema participants.
On the other hand, Cairo Opera House Grand Mall will host the screening of the Canadian “Nadia, Butterfly” and the Danish “Shorta.” Both films compete at CIFF international competition.
“Nadia, Butterfly” screening will be at 3 pm and “Shorta” event will be at 6 pm.
Furthermore, the first group of Cinema of Tomorrow films will be screened at Hanager Theater at 3:30 pm.
The first group of Cinema of Tomorrow’s films includes: “The Man Who Swallowed the Radio” (Egypt), “Perpetual Night” (Portugal), “Isabel” (Cuba), “The Game” (Switzerland), and “Kurchatov” (Russia).
At 6:30, the Italian “Sow the Wind” will be screened at the Small Theater.
“Curfew” by the Egyptian Amir Ramses will be screened at Odeon 1 Cinema at 10 pm.
Regarding today’s main event, the Egyptian “Ammar” will be screened at WE Theater at 9:30 pm.
It will be a Red Carpet event. The 42nd CIFF took off on Wednesday and it witnesses the participation of 84 films.
The first day of CIFF film screenings witnessed a high turnout. In addition, many films announce that they went “Sold Out” such as “Curfew” and “Gaza Mon Amour”.
