This is Today’s Schedule Cairo Industry Days Activities at CIFF

Cairo International Film Festival (CIFF) continues its Cairo Industry Days activities, while today's schedule carries various panels, masterclasses, and open discussions.

In cooperation with Netflix, Cairo Industry Days will organize a lecture entitled “Netflix Guide to Post Production Visual Impacts.” It will be presented by Leo Di Wolf, Karim Boutros-Ghali, and Jailan Mekki.

It will be organized at the Cairo Marriott Hotel on 6 December at 11 am.

There will be an open talk with the “Genious Farmer,” the iconic Egyptian scriptwriter Wahid Hamed. He was awarded the Golden Pyramid Prize for his lifetime achievement.

The talk will be presented by the famous Egyptian critic Tarek El Shenawy. It will be on 6 December at the Cairo Opera House at 2:30 pm.

Screen International’s Middle East correspondent Melanie Goodfellow and six of her promising actors and directors from across the Middle East and North Africa will face the audience.

The participants were selected for the fourth edition of its talent-spotting initiative “Arab Stars Of Tomorrow”, which is being supported by MBC Hope, a social responsibility initiative for The MBC Group.

Ahmed Malek who is the recipient of “2017 Arab Stars of Tomorrow” will join the meeting.

On the same day, Mariam Farag, the Head of Corporate Sustainability & Social Impact at MBC Group, will moderate a panel entitled “The Role of Cinematography in Combating Human Trafficking” at 4.45 pm.

The discussion will be joined by Ambassador Chairperson of The National Coordinating Committee for Combating and Preventing Illegal Migration and Trafficking in Persons Naela Gabr, and Amb. Laurent De Boeck.

De Boek is the IOM Chief of Mission to the Arab Republic of Egypt and Cristina Albertin, and the Regional Representative for the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).

Celebrated Egyptian stars Asser Yassin and Nelly Karim will take part in the event.

The panel is sponsored by the National Coordinating Committee For Preventing And Combating Illegal Migration And Human Trafficking (NCCPIMTIP).
