By the next February, the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) Authority will begin applying the new official opening hours of the main exhibition halls and the areas that are witnessing trial operation in the museum.
For his part, Dr. Ahmed Ghoneim, CEO of the Museum Authority, explained that these timings will be in summer and winter throughout the week from nine in the morning until six in the evening, and will be until four in the afternoon during the holy month of Ramadan.
He added that the museum will be open in the evening on Saturday and Wednesday of every week from nine in the morning until nine in the evening.
In a related context, the museum will also begin implementing the list of various exemptions and reductions in museum entry tickets that were approved by the Board of Directors at its last session.
