The Eid Al Fitr Prayer will be held on Monday at 5:36 am in Cairo and its suburbs, media agencies reported on Sunday.

It is worthy to mention that the Egyptian Dar Al Iftaa announced on Saturday that the crescent moon of Shawal wasn't observed, therefore, Saturday was announced as the final day of Ramadan, and Monday as the first day of Shawal.

Previously, the National Research Institute of Astronomy & Geophysics (NRIAG) announced last week that the first day of Eid Al Fitr will be on May 2, and Eid prayer will be at 5:36 Cairo time.

According to astronomical studies, the rise of the Shawal Crescent moon will be at 10: 28 pm on the Day of Observation (Yawm Al Roayah) in Cairo time.

Furthermore, the crescent moon will be set before the sunset of the observation day.

Therefore, this Ramadan will be a 30-day-month, so Sunday, May 1 will be the final day of Ramadan, and Monday will mark the beginning of Shawal and Eid Al Fitr.
