Get to Know Egyptian Pound Value against BRICS Currencies in 2024

In the following report, we present the price of the Egyptian pound against the most important currencies of the BRICS countries, according to their central banks and market trades on Dec. 31, 2023.

The 15th BRICS summit called for Egypt, Argentina, Ethiopia, Iran, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates, in preparation for obtaining  full membership early next January, however the new Argentine president withdrew from the bloc.

Chinese yuan

The Chinese yuan registered at the Central Bank of Egypt at about 4.21 pounds for purchase and 4.23 pounds to sell.

Russian rouble

The Egyptian currency recorded about 2.88 roubles 

The Saudi riyal

The Saudi riyal registered at the Central Bank of Egypt at about 8.21 pounds for purchase and 8.24 pounds to sell.

Emirati dirham

The UAE dirham recorded at the Central Bank of Egypt at about 8.39 pounds for purchase and 8.42 pounds to sell.

Indian rupee

The Egyptian pound recorded 2.68 Indian rupees. 

South African rand

The price of the South African rand  recorded about 1.70 Egyptian pounds.

Brazilian Real

The price of a Brazilian real was about 6.39 Egyptian pounds.

Argentine peso

The price of Egyptian pounds against  Argentine pesos recorded 26.13.

Ethiopian birr

While the pound recorded 1.82 against Ethiopian birr. 

Iranian Riyal

The average price of the Egyptian pound against the Iranian riyal was about 1,367 thousand Iranian riyals.
