On Tuesday, German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock begins an official visit to Iraq.
A statement by the Iraqi Foreign Ministry stated that the Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein will meet with the German Foreign Minister on Tuesday afternoon, and the two sides will hold a press conference after the end of the official round of talks.
The German minister will also meet Iraq’s President, the government, and Parliament, and will visit the Kurdistan region and separate parts of the country.
Last month, Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia' Al Sudani visited Germany to participate in the Munich Security Conference.
Al Sudani met with the CEO of German energy company Siemens, Christian Bruch.
