The German defense industry giant, Rheinmetall, has announced its commitment to deliver an additional 40 infantry fighting vehicles of the 'Marder' model to Ukraine.
Rheinmetall, in an official statement, revealed that it has been tasked by the German federal government to provide Ukraine with 40 more 'Marder' infantry fighting vehicles.
The request for these vehicles was submitted last month, as reported by the Ukrainian news agency Ukrinform.
The company emphasized its dedication to swiftly refurbish the infantry vehicles previously owned by the German military, ensuring that the new batch of vehicles will be ready for delivery to Ukraine by the end of this year, 2023.
With this order, the total number of 'Marder' vehicles supplied by Rheinmetall to Ukraine will reach an impressive count of 80, further bolstering Ukraine's defense capabilities.
