Germany has announced its plans to transfer an additional Patriot air defense system to Ukraine to bolster its defenses against Russian aggression.

German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock revealed this development through a post on the social media platform X, as reported by the Ukrainian news agency Ukrinform.

Baerbock, who is currently in Prague for a NATO foreign ministers' meeting, emphasized the critical importance of strengthening Ukraine's air defense capabilities.

Baerbock indicated that enhancing Ukraine's air defenses remains crucial. She mentioned that Germany would contribute another Patriot system and an additional €500 million.

She stressed the necessity of maintaining steadfast support and commitment together.

Baerbock further noted that countries under attack have not only the right to defend their territories but also the duty to protect their citizens.

She highlighted that Germany's military support for Ukraine aligns with these principles, emphasizing NATO's principle of collective defense: all for one, and one for all.
