The German Minister of State Niels Annen started his official visit to the Middle East, German Foreign Office announced in a statement on Tuesday.
The visit includes three Middle Eastern countries: Lebanon, Jordan, and Turkey.
Starting his regional tour with Lebanon, the Minister met the Lebanese President Michel Aoun, ministers from the new government, and other officials.
Therefore, the current economic and social crisis that his Lebanon hard would be the main core of both sides discussions.
In an official statement, Annen said: "Met General Aoun today and discussed the challenges Lebanon is facing."
He affirmed: "Germany stands in solidarity with Lebanon and will continue its support for Lebanon."

On the two following days, the German official will visit Jordan for having a meeting with his Jordanian counterpart Ayman Safadi.
Finally, Annen will conclude his visit by flying to Turkey to discuss various common-interest regional issues with Turkish officials such as the crisis of Libya, the situation in Syria, the updates of the political statues in Afghanistan, and issues related to the Eastern Mediterranean countries.
