German FM, EU Counterparts Discuss Ukraine Support

German Foreign Minister (FM) Annalena Baerbock, met with her European Union counterparts in Brussels. 

They discussed sending of more aid to Ukraine, including the delivery of ammunition, as well as other issues; such as the situation in Tunisia, Iran and Afghanistan.

In a statment, the German Foreign Ministry stated that the Russian war against Ukraine remains the central issue of the common European foreign policy, highlighting that since the war began, the European Union (EU) has supported the people of Ukraine who are resisting the "illegal" Russian attack.

The ministry added that the EU supports Ukrainians militarily, financially and humanitarianly, noting that more than 4 million refugees from Ukraine have sought asylum and received direct protection in the EU.
