German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock stressed that the ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah is a diplomatic success, pointing out to the importance of “focusing all efforts to ensure that all parties quickly implement the steps they promised.”
Baerbock said, in a statement published by the German Foreign Ministry on the X platform, that “the full implementation of UN Security Council Resolution No. 1701, with the assistance of the United Nations forces operating in Lebanon (UNIFIL), remains essential to reach a lasting solution to the conflict.”
She stated that Germany supports the Lebanese army, adding that her country will continue to support the Lebanese people.
