German Foreign Minister (FM) Annalena Baerbock arrived on Tuesday in the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, on a surprise visit.
During this visit, Baerbock called for strengthening international support for Ukrainian air defense in light of the continuation of the war.
She indicated that the German-led initiative aimed at strengthening Ukrainian air defenses had collected about one billion euros ($1.09 billion), and was trying to raise more.
It is worth mentioning that, Baerbock was forced to cancel a scheduled visit to the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv due to the Russian attacks on the city, noting that the visit to Ukraine was not announced for security reasons.
