German Ambassador to Egypt Jürgen Schulz visited the Egyptian Red Crescent’s logistics center in Al-Arish on Monday, emphasizing Germany’s commitment to supporting humanitarian operations for civilians in the Gaza Strip. The visit highlighted ongoing cooperation between Germany and Egypt in facilitating the delivery of critical aid through the Rafah border crossing.
During his tour, Ambassador Schulz inspected warehouses stocked with food, medicine, and emergency supplies destined for Gaza. He commended Egyptian authorities and Red Crescent volunteers for their extensive efforts in coordinating international relief shipments amid the ongoing crisis. According to officials, the Al-Arish center has become one of the region’s most vital humanitarian hubs since the escalation of violence in Gaza.
Schulz affirmed that Germany continues to provide financial and logistical assistance to ensure that humanitarian supplies reach those most in need. “Germany stands alongside its partners in Egypt and the international community to deliver life-saving aid and reinforce humanitarian principles,” he stated.
Representatives of the Egyptian Red Crescent briefed the Ambassador on challenges related to access, logistics, and the need for sustained international cooperation to maintain the flow of assistance into Gaza. The visit underscored the strategic role Egypt plays in mediating humanitarian responses and coordinating global aid efforts in times of conflict, reflecting a growing partnership between Cairo and Berlin in addressing regional humanitarian emergencies.
