The House of Representatives' Foreign Affairs Committee, chaired by MP Sameh Shoukry and attended by the committee’s deputy chairs, received the German Ambassador to Cairo, Jurgen Schulz.
The meeting addressed current regional developments in light of rapidly changing international variables.
During the meeting, the German Ambassador praised Egypt's pivotal role in supporting the pillars of security and stability in the region under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
He noted that Egyptian policy reflects a sense of balance and wisdom in dealing with various regional and international issues.
The session also witnessed an exchange of views on several files of mutual interest.
Both sides emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation between Egypt and Germany across political, economic, and cultural levels.
They also highlighted the significance of enhancing the role of German companies in Egypt's development efforts.
Furthermore, both parties underscored the need for intensified coordination and continuous consultation regarding regional challenges to support efforts aimed at achieving security and stability on both regional and international scales.
