General Strike Declared in Israel, Train Drivers Stop Working

After a long day of massive disruptions that paralyzed business life in Israel and, for the first time, disrupted train traffic, the protest leaders took the next step in resisting the government's plan for judicial overhaul.

The protesters plan to take bolder steps against the ruling system. This time the protests are turning into a general strike.

To prove that it is serious about these steps until the end, the Israeli Medical Association announced (Tuesday) a warning strike in the health system for two hours (Wednesday), which will be followed by a one-day strike (Thursday) or (Sunday).

The protesters began to put more pressure on the Histadrut (the General Confederation of Trade Unions) and the Federation of Industrial Owners to join the campaign of protest and general strike.

In a scathing criticism of US President Joe Biden; Because we spoke with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, hundreds of Israelis demonstrated in front of the US embassy in Tel Aviv, calling for "exerting pressure on Netanyahu and not giving him a lifeline."

The demonstrators raised slogans calling for saving Israeli democracy from the dictatorship plan that Netanyahu's government is trying to pass.
