Gene Hackman and his wife Betsy Arakawa have been laid to rest.
The couple, who were found dead in their Santa Fe home on February 26, were also remembered in a memorial by family and close friends.
The small, private memorial, attended by the iconic actor's three children — son Christopher and daughters Elizabeth and Leslie — was recently held in Santa Fe.
Hackman and Arakawa were discovered at their home along with one of their dogs, a kelpie mix named Zinna, in Santa Fe Summit. Two other dogs were discovered alive and well on the property.
The causes of the couple's deaths were revealed weeks later, in March.
Arakawa died from hantavirus, a flu-like virus linked to rodent droppings, while her Hackman died a week later from a combination of severe heart disease, high blood pressure and advanced Alzheimer's disease.
Zinna likely died of dehydration and starvation, Santa Fe County animal control previously revealed.
The couple, married since 1991, had been living a private life since Gene retired from acting.
They were last photographed together during a rare outing in March 2024.
The two-time Oscar winner was spotted holding onto Betsy's arm as the pair grabbed lunch together at Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen in Santa Fe.
