Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jasem Mohamed Al-Budaiwi, and the Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Péter Szijjártó, emphasized the importance of enhancing Gulf-Hungarian and Gulf-European relations, particularly in light of Hungary's presidency of the European Union in the second half of 2024.
This was stated during Al-Budaiwi's meeting with the Hungarian Foreign Minister in Budapest on Monday.
They discussed various topics, notably the review of their relations and the importance of joint efforts to cooperate and develop diplomatic and economic relations between the two sides to achieve common interests, as reported by Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The meeting also addressed the latest regional and international developments, primarily the crisis in Gaza, with both sides stressing the need to resolve it through peaceful means and in accordance with international resolutions, ensuring a two-state solution.
