The Secretary-General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC), Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, affirmed the Council's unwavering support for the Federal Republic of Somalia in everything that enhances its security, stability, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.
This came during his meeting on Sunday in Riyadh with the Somali Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, according to a statement released by the GCC General Secretariat on its official website.
During the meeting, several topics of mutual interest were discussed, most notably reviewing relations between the GCC and Somalia, and exploring ways to develop and consolidate them to serve common interests.
Additionally, they reviewed the latest developments on both regional and international fronts, alongside other issues of shared concern.
