Tel Aviv was jolted early today as nearly 10 rockets were launched from Gaza, according to the Israeli military, which claims to have intercepted most of the missiles. The exact number of rockets intercepted or fallen has not been specified.
Dana Abu Shamsiya, a reporter for Cairo News Channel from occupied Jerusalem, detailed the incident during her appearance on the "File of the Day" program. The show, hosted by media personality Aya Lotfy, reported that air raid sirens sounded across dozens of locations around greater Tel Aviv, including areas known as "Gush Dan" and the southern cities of Ashdod, Ashkelon, and Yavne.
The Israeli public broadcaster, quoting eyewitnesses, reported at least six missile interceptions in the skies over Tel Aviv. Regarding casualties, the Israeli ambulance service has not received any injury reports yet, but is conducting sweeps in four different areas where rockets or interception debris fell.
Abu Shamsiya added that the Israeli police, in cooperation with ambulance crews and bomb disposal experts, are continuing their efforts to ensure no dangerous remnants are left in the impacted areas. They have urged the public to stay away from any suspicious objects.
This ongoing situation highlights the fragile security environment in the region and the swift responses by Israeli defense systems to aerial threats.
