The Palestinian Ministry of Health confirmed that the Gaza Strip has been exposed to the fifth wave of the Coronavirus (known also as COVID-19) pandemic of type BA5, which has a faster spread than the original mutant.
Palestinian Health explained in a press statement that the data indicate that the number of cases expected to be registered will not reach what it was during the previous waves, noting that vaccination against the COVID- 19 virus has proven its effectiveness in enhancing immunity and providing opportunities to prevent infection or reduce infection.
