Members of the Gaza Administration Committee have arrived in Egypt following the announcement by U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff on the start of the second phase of the Gaza agreement, according to Al-Qahera News.
The sources said the visit comes in the context of understandings reached during the meeting of Palestinian factions hosted in Cairo a day earlier, which focused on arrangements related to the implementation of the second phase of the ceasefire agreement.
The Cairo talks reportedly resulted in broad consensus among Palestinian factions on key aspects of the transitional phase, including governance mechanisms and coordination frameworks for managing the Gaza Strip during the upcoming period.
Egypt continues to play a central mediating role in facilitating dialogue between the parties and coordinating efforts with regional and international stakeholders to support stability and prevent a relapse into conflict.
