Mamelodi Sundowns player, Gaston Sirino, denied receiving an offer to join the Sudanese Al-Hilal club in the coming period.

In exclusive statements to "Yallakora", Sirino said: "I do not know anything about the offer of the Sudanese club, and there are many lies."

Sirino was linked to Al-Ahly during the last summer transfer period, but the material requests of the South African club hindered the deal.

Sundowns issued an official statement on its website regarding the deal, saying that, "Mamelodi Sundowns announces the end of negotiations with Al-Ahly regarding Sirino transfer because the clubs are far from each other regarding the player's transfer fee."

The statement added: "The good relations between Al-Ahly Club President Mahmoud Al-Khatib and Mamelodi Sundowns President Patrice Mutsibi will continue, but there is no point in continuing discussions about the Uruguayan player."

It continued: "Sundowns will continue to show its players to European, African and other countries as it has already done, but the transfer fees must be appropriate because the club is paying large sums of money to acquire the players."

It also added that "The player must now focus on his future at the club."

A source in Al-Ahly had previously said in statements that the club had made an official offer of $2.5 million to obtain the player's services, but Sundowns asked the Red Castle for $ 5 million to leave the player.
